- Polyhydroxy acids (PHAs) deliver a refined, everyday exfoliation experience, polishing away dull surface cells to reveal a more even and radiant complexion. Thanks to their water-binding nature, they also boost skin moisture while supporting natural renewal.
New York Stock Exchange Facade Model
Ingredients
At the corner of Broad Street and Wall Street stands one of the most powerful buildings in the world. Since 1903 the facade of the New York Stock Exchange has been the ceremonial face of American capitalism, the place where markets move, fortunes are made and history is witnessed daily behind six of the most celebrated Corinthian columns ever raised.
Completed in 1903 to the design of architect George B. Post, the Broad Street facade is one of the finest examples of Classical Revival architecture in the United States. Six massive Corinthian columns rise from a rusticated two storey podium of Georgia marble, crowned by one of the most celebrated pediment sculpture groups in American art.
That pediment, conceived by sculptor John Quincy Adams Ward and executed by Paul Wayland Bartlett, depicts eleven allegorical figures representing the commercial and industrial spirit of America. At its centre stands Integrity, flanked by Agriculture, Mining, Science, Industry and Invention. Every figure is present in this model. Every figure is resolved.
The building was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978. It remains the most recognised financial building on earth.
This model depicts the facade as originally completed in 1903, faithfully recording George B. Post's architectural intent before subsequent alterations. This is the NYSE as its architect intended it to be seen.
Produced at 1:200 scale, the model captures the complete Broad Street elevation including the entrance steps and panelled doors, the rusticated podium with seven arched bays, ornamental balconied windows, six Corinthian columns with fully resolved acanthus leaf capitals, the entablature with decorative scrollwork frieze, the New York Stock Exchange lettering, the complete pediment sculpture group with all eleven figures and the balustraded roofline.
Produced in high detail resin by a professionally qualified conservation architect, every element is researched and resolved with genuine architectural understanding of one of the great civic facades of the modern world.
